The Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services has numerous open data sets that are available to the public. The Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) data sets have five years of historical data at the grain of individual hospitals and DRGs. In the example below I use Power BI to display trends and rich attribution within the data. Try out the embedded report below, which uses all five years of historical IPPS data.
